| Well I found out on Friday that I got into USC (that's Southern California!)! I guess I'm on the road to get my Ph.D. I never thought I would want to, much less get into school anywhere. It's the PhD in Gerontology at the Davis School of Gerontology, which is the oldest and largest gerontology schools in the world! They have a lot of different professors doing research in molecular biology, neuroscience, demography, psychology, sociology and public policy. I think it's going to be really cool surrounded by such a wide variety of people in the department, school, and in Los Angeles! USC is actually really small and is a private school, when I visited it seemed safe and homey, kinda like a Berry but in the middle of LA! Daniel and I are going to apply for a few apartments around the campus, but if we don't get a place near campus, we could live in Long Beach, West Hollywood/Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, or around Irvine. Pretty much anywhere! I would NOT want to live in LA if we weren't in this one neighborhood by USC--scary. I'm so excited!
Also, I know I haven't told everyone this, but D and I are getting married in May! We decided to go ahead and "tie the knot" before we moved. My parents are also moving to Tupelo Mississippi sometime this summer--so the Lendons are getting out of TN! Alicia will still be at USC in South Carolina (!) for the rest of this year and then she could be anywhere in the country. My uncles also just moved from southern California to Crystal River, FL, and my cousin and her family don't even know where they're moving b/c her husband's in the Navy!
Anyway, I'm babbling. I hope everyone is doing well and also having a great year!

| Obviously, I haven't posted in a loooong while. I got a myspace page. I'm a traitor, I know.
Well not a whole lot has been going on with me. I'm taking classes, my favorite is Women's Health Issues, where we talk about the social/patriarchal construction of women and their bodies and healthcare/research descrimination and conditions that only affect women or affect women differently. Its really great and empowering and gives me a whole different perspective on healthcare and doctors. I've always felt uneasy w/ doctors and such and never liked taking medicine or wanted to go through operations. I'm beginning to understand a little bit more why.
Anyways, I am also a research assistant for a professor. We're working on a mail survey and I've been signing letters (2200 of them to be exact), labeling envelopes, folding and stuffing letter into the envelopes. Intellectual stuff, huh? This is what I'm going to grad school for? I will tho be helping with data collection, entry, statistical procedures and writing! Thats where the fun comes in!
I've also got more involved in stuff at school, learning how to write in html for websites, drinking lots of coffee, enjoying the snow flurries, and making new friends!.

| i've been pretty bored lately, had a good week, but nothing very
exciting. I've spent a lot of time at the apartment with the cats and
Daniel. I need to make sure I dont become the dreaded crazy cat lady we
all make fun of. Because i'm starting to think it could be a real
possibility. Well i'm about to go get some sushi for dinner and find a
